The Private Banking Secret: How to Build Your Own 'And' Asset

Hey there! Angelique here.
If you’ve been following along lately, you know we’ve been talking a lot about a concept that honestly changed the way I look at money forever. It’s a strategy we call Wealth Without Walls, and at the heart of it is something called the "And" Asset.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. "Angelique, what on earth is an 'And' Asset? Is this some complicated Wall Street jargon?"
Actually, it’s the exact opposite. It’s about getting away from the walls Wall Street builds around your money. Most of us have been taught to think about our finances in terms of "Either/Or."
Either I save my money for retirement, OR I use it to buy a house.
Either I keep my cash in a "safe" savings account earning 0.01%, OR I risk it in the stock market.
Either I pay cash for a new car, OR I take out a loan and pay interest to a bank.
But what if you didn't have to choose? What if you could have your cake and eat it too? That is the power of the "And" Asset, and today, I’m going to pull back the curtain on this private banking secret.
The Problem with "Lazy" Money
Most people have "lazy" money. You work hard for your dollars, but once they land in a traditional bank account or a qualified retirement plan (like a 401k), they basically go to sleep.
If they are in a savings account, they aren't growing. If they are in a 401k, they might be growing, but you can’t touch them without a massive tax headache or a penalty until you’re 59 ½. Your money is trapped. It’s stuck behind a wall.
When you need to make a big purchase, like a car, a wedding, or a roof repair, you usually have two choices:
Drain your savings: You pay cash. Sure, you avoid interest, but you also kill the compounding power of that money. It’s gone. It can never earn another cent for you.
Finance it: You keep your savings, but you pay a bank 5%, 7%, or 10% interest for the privilege of using their money.
In both scenarios, the bank wins, and you lose momentum.

Enter the "And" Asset
The "And" Asset is a financial vehicle that allows your money to do two things at the same time. It allows for guaranteed growth AND total liquidity.
When you build your own private banking system: typically using a specifically designed high-cash-value life insurance policy: your money is always working.
Here is how the "secret" works: You put your money into the asset. It begins to grow with a guaranteed rate of return plus potential dividends. But here is the kicker: when you need cash to buy a car or invest in real estate, you don't "withdraw" the money. Instead, you take a loan against your own cash value.
Because your original money stays inside the policy, it continues to compound as if you never touched it. You are using the bank's money (the insurance company) while your money keeps growing. You are the borrower AND the lender.
This is why we call it the "And" Asset. You have the investment growth AND the use of the capital.

Wealth Without Walls: Taking Back Control
For too long, we’ve been told that the only way to build wealth is to hand our money over to someone else, pay them fees, and cross our fingers that the market doesn’t crash right when we want to retire.
At Solomon Estate and Wealth Planning, we believe in Retirement Planning that actually puts you in the driver’s seat.
The "Wealth Without Walls" strategy is about creating a system where:
Market volatility doesn't matter: Your core wealth is protected from stock market crashes.
You are the bank: You decide when you need a loan, how much you take, and how you pay it back.
Tax advantages: You can access your money tax-free (when structured correctly).
Legacy: You are building a death benefit that protects your family while you use the living benefits today.
It’s about Estate Planning that works while you’re alive, not just after you’re gone.
How It Works in the Real World: The Car Example
Let’s say you want to buy a $40,000 car.
The Traditional Way: You save up $40,000 in a standard savings account. You go to the dealership and write a check. Your account balance goes to $0. You now have a car that depreciates, and you have $0 earning interest. To get back to where you were, you have to start saving all over again.
The "And" Asset Way: You have $40,000 in your private banking policy. You take a policy loan for $40,000 to buy the car. Your $40,000 stays in the policy, earning interest and dividends. You "pay yourself back" the car payment you would have sent to a bank. By the time the car is paid off, you have the car, AND your original $40,000 has grown significantly because it never stopped compounding.
You didn't just buy a car; you financed it through your own bank and kept the profit for yourself.
